Did I go out shooting today? yeppers...



I was trying some new load I made.
Which did not do as well as I hoped, but it was still a nice day to be out

I did and I sucked. I haven't been shooting much and it showed. Low and left. Nice group but low left. And oddly enough, never happened before, maybe the first time I ever shot but adrenaline. I was amped.

I'm going to try and get back in at my local club but will be hitting the indoor range weekly from now on

Took my new rifle to the range after getting the scope bore sighted and mounted on it. But I'm a dummy and didn't make sure the turrets were centered before I mounted it (I did it before I took it to the range) and it was 7" low at 50 yards when centered (windage was about 3/4" off) so I'm going to pull the scope off, make sure the turrets are centered, and re bore sight it.

Took out one of my favorite duos. I ventured out to the empty SGL and Did some load tests at the 100yd with 75gr Hornday OTM over 24.1 and 23.1gr TAC. 23.1 shows a lot of promise, I'm gonna load more.

Shot the rest of my PPU fmj stock through the M39. It has an enlarged FP hole and doesn't like boxer primed stuff.

SGL 159. I call it SGL lonely, way relaxed vs. the old French Creek SGL Usually only me up there if I can sneak up during the weekdays. Sometimes there is an older guy with some Garands. He's really cool to talk to.
