Love the Ruger SR22 Pistol
Took our SR22 pistol to the range today...worked like a dream! Went through about 200 rounds of both Blazer and leftover Minimax (from the junk Sig) and it ate every bit of it without a hitch!
Had trouble getting used to the sights at first, I guess after awhile you get used to exactly how one gun sights in as compared to another one. I was used to my LC9 and then had to really shoot the SR22 for awhile to get it zeroed in to where I was shooting at least decent.
BUT I'm thrilled, absolutely thrilled, that it wasn't finicky about ammo. YESSSSSS!"Stupid people are ruining America." --Herman Cain

That's very cool. No one deserves to have two bad gun experiences in a row, except maybe the bad guys.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Re: Love the Ruger SR22 Pistol
Mind if I ask where you got it and how much it cost? I'm up on the air if I should get a SR22 for cheap practice or an LC9 for CC (already have the SR9C for CC)

Re: Love the Ruger SR22 Pistol
We got it at Tanners for $309 plus tax and paperwork...we traded our Sig Mosquito we had just gotten from them for a $30 loss (just the way it had to be) and added some money and got the SR22 instead.
I have an LC9 and like it a lot too...if you want cheap practice though, the SR22 will be tons cheaper....the others are $$$ to keep in ammo!"Stupid people are ruining America." --Herman Cain

Re: Love the Ruger SR22 Pistol
Cakeshooter, how is the trigger pull and recoil on it? Thinking of getting one of these for my wife because she does have some problems with her hands. Saw one at Advanced Arms in Pittston for low 3's. I liked the gun and I just might buy one for myself.

Re: Love the Ruger SR22 Pistol
Hey its not bad at all! Its a DA/SA so when you use it in single action, its only like 4 lbs of pressure...easy trigger pull, at least I personally think so. It has two grips so you can have it smaller or larger for the hands. The recoil is not bad either.
As a matter of fact, I'm going to take some of my boys to the range today, I think, to shoot it."Stupid people are ruining America." --Herman Cain
