Re: Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban
Has anyone found out if he has changed his opinions given the new realities in this post-Heller/McDonald world we live in, or are we going to hang him given way outdated information in a field that has evolved rapidly in the last few years?

Re: Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban
Using the exageration to make the point of the right's and left's constant attacks on Santorum; equating his pro-family noise with anything less as being bestiality.
I don't want anyone in gov't in my - or anyone elses - private lives regardless of political party - which are in a constant blur anyway these days.
As for 2A - I see him better than Gingrich or Romney, behind - a likely unelectable - Ron Paul.
Bottom line is we as gunowners are screwed if a ban-agreeable RINO from the 1% Club gets in and throws us under the bus to curry favor from the left. All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

Re: Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban
He is better than Obama and will not get republicans to fall on their sword on gun control the way Obama did on healthcare.
I know he might not be a first or second choice, but Obama in the house formerly known as the white house spells nothing but disaster.

Re: Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban
During the debates, he stated that he does not support any further gun laws. He said we have enough and that they need to be enforced. That is his latest incarnation, take it for what it's worth. I don't think he would take on more gun control because it is political suicide. Look at the statements by even the most ardent gun banners. They have said there just isn't any support for it.

Re: Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban
He is lying about not supporting any further gun control laws.
He is a career politician, (a professional liar) he will say whatever is needed to further his own self interest.
