Will there ever be concealed carry for Public School Employees
As I've mentioned a million times in the past, I work for a public school as a Systems Administrator. Not to long ago, I posted about an occurrence we had at the school that involved a man walking around outside with a shotgun. As I was reflecting upon this today, I couldn't help but wonder: Will there ever be legislation allowing Public School employees to carry a firearm?
thoughts?

You're already seeing the answer. School districts are hiring police officers. That's their answer.

I hope not. Laws should apply to everyone equally and people should not be able to get around laws based on their employment/occupation. If someone as a non PS employee cannot have a firearm then employees should not be able to have firearms. If employees can have firearms then everyone should be able to have firearms. That said, I think everyone should be able to firearms.
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

Arguably non-PS employees already may, depending on your opinion of the "other lawful purposes" clause, and by the same light arguably PS employees may, however most schools have weapons policies which would prevent them from doing so.
It would be nice to see a law protecting PS employees from being prohibited to carry by their public employer, however.I am not a lawyer. Nothing I say or write is legal advice.

Most of the educators I've known are liberal or at least left leaning. I'd bet if you did a poll of the administrators and faculty in your school , you would get an overwhelming NO , and probably get fired!
