Ok, I've seen it, I want it - lol. I hear it was at the SHOT show? Sprinfield XDS micro 45. Anyone know when it is suppose to be out or msrp so I can get an idea of retail?

I checked over at the Springfield site looking for the new "micro" and found one thing:

Our model is technically called the Service Model.

My wife got it for me for Christmas 2 years ago.

I never knew that!

Oh yes, regarding the new model you mentioned, I could not find anything on it as of yet.

It must very new.

I believe from some of the reports I read it should start shopping in March. Looks like a nice little gun. I think I would want an extension like they do on the sub compact XD with a a seven or eight round mag. Probably carry the short one like I do with my XD and the long one in my mag pouch.

I like this gun a lot, likely to be my next handgun buy. Could replace my AMT backup as "easy to carry concealed even in summer clothing" gun. Add night sights and that's got everything i need.

I'm looking forward to renting one to try out when they become available.

I really have to justify getting new gun and a new holster when I already have a few XDs and XDMs that all fit the same CBST.

Looks like "shipping in March" didn't happen ! Hmmm, let's see what April brings ! My gunshop thinks sell price will be closer to $600 than $550 ! Ads still say "shipping soon" !!!!

I was thinking about buying one too, but when you look at the measurements vs the .45 xdm compact, its not much smaller and youre giving up 4 rounds.
