Difference between MAC-10 & MAC-11
Might (repeat might) be in the market for an FA MAC this year. I've shot an 11 and loved it and have been told by many it's a great first FA weapon. So I did some looking around and found a bunch of 10s and 11s.
Can anyone explain the difference and why one might be better than the other? They both seem about the same price and seem to be available in the same calibers so enlighten a MAC newbie if you would.

Re: Difference between MAC-10 & MAC-11
Mac-10 is either a 9mm or a .45acp
m11 is a .380
m11/9 is a 9mm
Mac-10 is knownas the Fat Mac. Big, Tall receiver, heavy.
m11 is relativly teeny.
m11/9 is 'Just right'.

Re: Difference between MAC-10 & MAC-11
You shot M11/9. M11/9 is probably least desirable stock, as a machinepistol, IMHO. But it has the best and widest variety of aftermarket stuff. And, the aftermarket stuff is the smoothest with the M11/9, even when the same products are offered for the other models.

DC this website will help decypher all the different terms when referring to the small machinepistol market that everyone simply refers to as "MAC10's" in a generic sense.

ungawa is correct as usual the M11/9 alone is relatively less desirable but all of the different aftermarket products for it including the LAGE MAX11 and some other stuff that is out there now REALLY perk it up.
Also as previously pointed out Uzitalk has got to be the best forum for these little devils right now and has been for a while

Re: Difference between MAC-10 & MAC-11
Go to GunBroker.
Search word "MAC" under the NFA/Machinegun section and you'll see the correct, relevant models and the differences. The "mac-10" term has become synonymous with uzi and AK47.
edit to add.
All the factory stocks suck. Get on the Max-11 site and get a Lage stock first.Wouldn't you like to know what's in my safe.

Re: Difference between MAC-10 & MAC-11
Personally I would buy a SWD M11/9 if I were to buy again simply for the fact that soo many of the new products are designed around that frame. I do have a SWD M10/9 and love it, it's been converted to use UZI mags unmodified and that was a huge selling point but the double feed has made it that much more difficult to find new uppers where as the M11/9 is a single feed mag and pretty much the standard as I understand it.

I'm going to parrot the others and say you will really get the best info at the MAC forum of UZITalk.com. I think you should go sign up. It's a relatively small, mostly polite forum. But with way more NFA owners, MAC/M11/etc. owners, experts, and even the current manufacturers.
