Default Best Rifle for the job.

Hello to everyone. I have been on this site for almost a year now and learned so much about Handguns its amazing. Now I am looking for info on a rifle. I want to know what would be the best Caliber for hunting Deer, Wild hog and Black Bear. And I also would like an opinion on the make and model of a Gun to do the job. I want a lever action and dont want to spend more then 1000.00 dollars........ok fellas, shoot.

I would stick with a common cartridge, for example 308 & 338 Marlin Express are great cartridges but hard to find in a pinch.

Check out all of the maufactures and see one you like the best,

I sudgest the Marlin 336 in 35 Rem or a Savage 99 in 308 Win.

I own 5 or so 35's but for bear the 338 marlin express would be hard to beat.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

That was my first thought, (.45-70), since his list of game included bears. TT
