Can not wait. Linda and I are going to bring some Ring Bologna and Smoked Cheese. We get the cheese from an Amish farm that makes it.

Funsized and I are looking forward to it also. We're going to bring some snacks, and hopefully a couple friends who are getting interested in shooting so they can meet some other gun nuts.

Yeah, seems like I'm always in trouble when I come home from your place! I certainly resemble that remark too, and one of them knows you're my enabler. As soon as he transfers his residency from PRNJ maybe you can help him out too.

BTW, will you have Gunbash tickets for us to buy next week? We want to get them before they're gone, so if you have any save us two.

A "Gun Bash" is where an organization (volunteer fire departments, American Legion, etc.) sell raffle tickets to raise money. Depending on the org, it may give away 10-50 guns. Typically, at the drawing date, they also have all you can eat food and drink (which is included in the price of the ticket). Plus they will have side drawings that you can purchase tickets. This is the "bash" portion of the gun bash.

In this case, we are talking about a gun bash put on by the organization Firearm Owners Against Crime (FOAC). The FOAC was/is the main mover and shaker behind most if not all of the pro gun laws passed in PA. They hold fund raising events (gun bashes) every year (Spring and Fall). They give away a lot of guns and if you go to the event, held at the Washington County fairgrounds, they also have ongoing side raffles (guns for winners), a lot (and I mean a lot) of excellent food, chances to meet many of the pro gun local and state political representatives and just a whole lot of fun.

I am hoping to get a bunch of tickets prior to the meet and greet on the 4th to sell to all who are interested. I will also have information for those interested in joining the FOAC. If you like your guns, this is one organization that you should join.

Looks like we'll have a good turn out. Also, I did get the FOAC Gun Bash tickets today so they willl be available on Saturday. Lots of really nice guns to be given away.
