I don't have an internal lock on mine, so I'm not familiar with that setup. Any chance that got knocked into the wrong position?

The lock on mine is "plugged" does that mean I also have no internal lock? The gun was bought by me used.

Mine does not need to be lowered to reassemble the pistol.

A quick Google search confirms I am lockless

Take the barrel and guide rod out and see if the slide will go the whole way back without them

Nope. I've tried that as well. (And for the heck of it just did it again to be sure.)

Side note: If I would have known I would run into these issue I may not have sold off my Glocks! LOL Thanks for all the help thus far.

You might try asking on MP-forum.com. Here's a response to a similar issue:

"There is a small spring under the rear sight that controls the plunger. If not put on right it causes the plunger (the small button on the underside of the slide that controls the firing pin) to become stuck, thus preventing the slide from going on all the way. I have had that spring shear off during a qualification course. the pistol shot fine until i disassembeled it for cleaning and then tried to re assemble it. Hope this helps."

Thanks, I just did have new sights put on the gun. But I didn't think that could cause it. So this spring is apparently under the sights?
