Re: M&P Slide Reassemble 100%
Try raising and then lowering the sear deactivation lever into the magazine well. It needs to be in the fully down position to mount the slide.

Try using the tool in the stock to push the take down wire in the mag well up and down (You know, the one you have to flip down in addition to the take down pin b4 the slide will come of).Sometimes it flips back up on mine and for whatever reason (I'm no gunsmith) and makes reassembly jam up.

Re: M&P Slide Reassemble 100%
I've taken mine off and put it back on a bunch to see what you could be catching. Right about at that point, when I'm pushing rearward, my takedown lever makes a 15 degree counter clockwise rotation. I can push back, and once the slide gets all the way to the rear, it locks into place. Maybe you could push rearward a tad and try to flip that take-down lever until it's 10-4 o'clock position, then keep pushing the slide to the rear.

Yeah, I forgot about that sear deactivation lever. I don't mess with it at all. To take down without it, triple-check to make sure the weapon is clear, clear it again, then lock the slide to the rear, rotate take-down lever, ride the slide forward, pull the trigger and the slide will run right off the front.

Do you have an empty magazine in the pistol?
I grabbed on out of the safe and the only way that I can replicate your picture is with a magazine in the pistol.Friends don't let friends buy Taurus's

Re: M&P Slide Reassemble 100%
I'll try a few more of your suggestions. And no, no magazine is in the gun.
ps - not sure why the flash on my camera makes the grease appear odd in the pics.
