What can you tell me about the Stevens browning takedown model 620?
Saw it on the rack at cabelas for $80 with the bluing in rough shape. The wood was perfect and actions was buttery smooth. As usual, the pics system was down at cabelas and they were 4 hours behind. So $25 later and she's on layaway for me. Non US military marked so I was thinking about cold bluing it and cutting her down to 18.5".
The receiver and barrel assembly are not numbers matching. So I figure this would be a good trench gun replica project. I figure any gun for $89 otd that was made Pre ww2 is a Catch.
Thoughts?
