Default Shop for 1st time buyer.

Hey guys and gals I live in the monroeville area and am looking for a shop that would be a good place to go for a first time buyer. I was hoping not to drive too far but if the reviews are really good then the trip would be worth it. I know of 2 gun shops right around me, yes there are more but these 2 I frequently drive by but have not stopped in yet. Powell Guns in penn hills and Alleghney River Arsenal in verona. Looking any and al suggestions on where to go please. Right now I am mainly looking at Glock, HK, and The XD series from Springfield.

    Thanks all

Both shops you mentioned are worth stopping at. Powell has some messed up hours, but he's a nice guy.
If you're looking for "best prices", just call around if you know what you want.

If you're looking for "good service", I can't really help. I prefer the smaller shops(like Powell's)to places like Gander Mtn.
Braverman's in Wilkinsburg has a nice selection to view, but I'm always made to feel like I'm bothering them when I ask a question.

Good luck, and try and check out one of our group shoots. It's a lot of fun.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

If you can make it up to American Shooting Sport, they are very good and friendly people who will spend time for you and will answer questions that you have without pushing on their sales, they also have pretty good of firearms selection too. I do highly recommended and no I don't work there or have any relationship with them, I'm just a happy customer who got treated as a customer.
