I'm sure that's exactly it. It's too bad because I'm trying to do everything I can to stay legal, but they make it a pain in the ass sometimes!

I know exactly what's going to happen now. I'm gonna take out the shotgun for doe to fill my freezer, and a monster buck is gonna come out about five yards away from my treestand and lay down!

I'm guessing that when the statute was written there was no late shotgun season.

Glock Pistols.......So simple a Caveman could fix them!

It's just the decision you need to make.

Just like when small game is in during archery, and your sitting with a .22 for squirrels and a 10 pt walks by you at 15 yds.

    Roll of the dice.....

Looks like it's a no-go. Oh well, at least we have confirmation now!

Although I see a loophole for carrying an SBS. If you had a shotgun with a 17.5 inch rifled barrel, it seems that it would be legal. And I don't see anything that would prohibit using said SBS to shoot a doe. Thoughts?
this actually supports your right to do it even more. They have already allowed for Muzzle and Bow at the same time, why would they not allow rifle and bow at the same time
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

If you are allowed to hunt with a shotgun, why wouldn't you be allowed to take a lesser weapon? None of the reasoning makes any sense. To just show the rules for archery season and say that's why is B.S. It's not archery season, it's shotgun season but it's also archery season. So you can take a Flintlock and a bow, but not a shotgun and a bow, but it doesn't actually say that anywhere, but it's against the law cuz I said so? WTF. I would take both, and if buck was bow only I would use the bow. If a doe walked up I would use the shotgun. How could they possibly fine you for shooting a deer with something that's legal? The difference between a bow kill and a shotgun kill is pretty obvious. Also, how could they possibly fine you for carrying a shotgun during shotgun season?
Any vote for a third party is a vote for a Democrat. You are the enemy.

I agree, both are open as long as you are honest.

That's why God created 6 arrow quivers and judo points. He wanted us to take 2 broadheads and 4 arrows to clear out the tree rats.

My 12 yr old son took a squirrel with his bow this year. I figure that if he can hit a squirrel, he can hit deer vitals.
