p95 jams

took my nephew to the range the other day and while firing my ruger p95 it jammed on him every other round.then i fired it and it was fine,he fired it again and it jammed again.was he limp wristing? he didnt think so and he fired my glock and 357 and had no problems just with the ruger,any suggestions?

You answered your own question ,if it was fine for all of your shots ,but not his limp wristing will cause cycling and feeding issues. You need to correct his grip and maybe stance.

Tons of discussion on this. It is not a forgiving gun and it has to be shot, firm in the wrist. Some people change to a softer recoil spring to resolve this.

Good ammo will help, as well. Soft loads even shooting with a tight wrist and grip may still cause problems. Has this gun been shot much?

I had the exact same thing this weekend with a buddy of mine at the range. He was shooting his Glock just fine, went to my P95 and every other shot was stove-piping or having loading issues. When I shot it, absolutely no problems.

I don't know that it was limpwristing as much as it may have been an issue with stance and grip.

Apparently the P95's are finnicky but I've never noticed it with mine.
