Default Cheap mount and a cool discovery

So my son wanted me to mount the antlers off the 6 point I got this year. We used one of the Skull Masters kits and we like how easy it was and how it turned out. The processor cut the cap for me so we wanted to boil the skull cap before we cut off the antlers and mounted them. I'm glad we did because as I cut away the scalp, I discovered the tip of an antler embedded in the skull of my buck.

Here is the mount in my son's room and below it is the picture of the antler tip in the skull.

Thats pretty cool, next time if you dont want to use a kit search "European Skull mount" on google or youtube and youll get instructions how to prepare and use the actual skull and antlers, it looks pretty awesome. Cant wait to do it when I get a buck.

The mount I used was under $30. I don't like the bury method. One year my brother had a stray dog coming by his house. He was concerned about the dog so he was feeding it. The dog rewarded him by bring him a cap and antler set of a 9 point. My brother is a hunter so he tried contacting several of the hunters in the neighborhood but nobody knew where the dog got them.
