    Default Public rifle ranges?

Hi all, I'm a former resident of A-town who is coming to visit family and friends for the holiday. A couple of my friends are getting Mosins as presents, so while I'm down, I wanted to go shooting with them. However, most outdoor ranges I've been looking at are membership-only, and I think the mosins are a little too much for any indoor range! Any idea where we can go without uselessly paying a year's dues? (BTW my friends are not yet members of an outdoor gun club, as they previously only have had pistols and are also in tough financial spots, so they can't bring me in as a guest.)

Alternatively, what are some ranges that my friends could join without needing a sponsor, and also allow guests?

You may be able to head to the range in lehigh county, gamelands 205 near rout 100..

From Rt #22 Fogelsville, travel north on Rt #100 about 6-1/2 miles, at bottom of a hill cross bridge over Jordan Creek, turn right on Sell Rd, continue about ¼ mile and turn right on Game Warden Rd (dirt road), located where the creek turns south. Follow road about 1 mile. Range is north of the white barn.

heres a link to most gameland ranges

whoops for got about this::Beginning April 1, 2011, those who shoot firearms at one of the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s State Game Lands public shooting ranges must possess and carry with them either an annual $30 range use permit or a current general hunting or furtaker license. Individuals without a range use permit or hunting or furtaker license may be fined. more info at the link above.

Find a random open field on the edge of Lehigh/Berks. Shoot whatever you can see, pray for good luck. Most of the time, cop's won't show......

(This is all a joke...don't take any of this seriously...)
Popichak is probably trolling this for his next story...
