Re: Fundraser for family of 5 teens killed in crash
While I didnt know any of these kids personally my son did play soccer with two of the boys for a few seasons, a couple years ago. My heart and prayers go out to the family and friends of these young kids. I applaud McDonalds for this fund raiser. I was amazed to see how many cars were waiting to pull into the parking lot at 5pm. (1/4 mile wait on each side of 30 entrance)The lobby area was packed full and there were people standing in line waiting to get in the door. I hope they turned a record business for that two hour period.

I was there shortly after 5. There where 2 lines on either side of the store. The parking lot was full of cars and backing out onto highway 30 and 94. The interior was packed from wall to wall. Behind the counter had so many employees they could hardly move, but they where pumping out the meals very fast. We go in the door about 5:30. Got our food at about 5:50. Heard with in the first hour they made $3,400. They started the fundraiser earlier than 5 because so many people showed up. The kept it fundraiser going past 7 because there where people still in line.
I did not know any of the teens that passed, but do know some teens that knew them. I'm so proud of our community for coming out and supporting these families and each other.
