old shotgun help
Guys I have an old L.C. Smith SXS with internal hammers that had the hammer springs removed before I got it. I got some springs for it but it's a bit of a struggle to get the side plates back onto the receiver. I did some research and found there is a special tool to install them, does anyone own this tool or can perform the job.
I was originally doing a favor for my boss by helping with this but I don't want to break anything the gun is from 1912 and some of the wood is brittle.
Thanks...

Re: old shotgun help
In Luzerne County, outside Hazleton is Dave's Gun Shop. His reputation as a good smith goes pretty far. He might be worth a call.
I should note, he is just off 309.
