    Default cz pistols

    I've been thinking to buy a cz 75b pistol as my first 9mm (already own a .45, .40, .357)
my question here is about the polycoat finish, is it durable ? I also have been considering an XD service 9mm, my decision will depend on the feedback from this thread. thanks in advance.

have you shot both of them?

The XD's have a "melonite" finish, which (if I am wrong I'll be corrected Im sure) is supposed to be pretty much the same as the glock finish. Its very durable. The first XD's that came out didnt have this finish and had issues, but all the new ones have it. I love my XD, eats anthing, accurate, feels good in my hand. The trigger is not the best, but I could have it worked on. Dont own a CZ, have shot them, like them ok enough to be considering buying one. But I do love my XD, its reliable.

it'll last ya a while , my CZ 40-P has it and after 2 years and many many holstering's ( steel plate matches ) it hasn't shown wear yet.... the 75 is a sweet pistol, probably become your favorite shooter, have fun with it..

Just got a SP-01. I researched CZ a lot. I never heard of the finish being a problem. Try both guns and buy the one you like better.

The CZ 75 P-01 is the successor of the CZ 75. I have one and really like it. Has 3.9 in barrel. If you want something bigger the CZ SP-01 has 4.75 , same as CZ 75B.

while I'll don't own a CZ or Xd I shoot with people who own both. Both seem very nice, durable and well put together. The reason I don't have either............................I can only afford 1 for now and can't decide.

I own both and consider both of them terrific handguns. The only thing I can say is buy the one that fits your hand best. You won't be dissapointed with either one.
