Re: cz pistols
Thinking of getting the 40P.
from my understanding the frame is the same as the 75, anyone know the accuracy of that statement? will the 22 conversion fit it?
I want one in 40SW with de-cocker, so 40P looks like its on the short list.

Re: cz pistols
Out of the two, I have only shot my friend's XD but I won't deny tha the CZ feels pretty good in my hand too. the XD feels and shoots very good and it has that modern pistol look which I love, on the other hand, the CZ is all metal and has the sa/da trigger (wanna try something new, already have a glock and a 1911, you know what I mean?). Anyway I think I'm leaning more towards the XD.... I don't know, I need help!!!!! thanks you all for the input.

Re: cz pistols
I have owned and carried a CZ40P for approx. four years. It is one heck of a gun.
It is a tack driver and has been steadfastly reliable.
The finish on the side of the front dust cover is wearing off from holster wear. I touch it up every so often with a felt tipped pen.
I was originally drawn to the CZ40P because of its price. $299 at the time. The price has risen steadily over the years. The CZ40P a kind of frankengun born out of the failed partnership between CZ and Colt. The original intent was for CZ to build the Colt Z40 and the CZ 40B which were almost the same gun. Colt backed out of the deal and CZ was left with a lot of 40B slides. The Czechs being a frugal bunch , mated the 40B slides with PO1 lowers and the 40P was born. The price has been rising as of late. If I were buying a CZ in 40 S&W , I think I would seriously consider the CZ PO6, which is the gun the CZ40P should have been in the first place.
Having said all that, I LOVE my 40P and would not part with it. Many folks at the range mistake it for a Sig. Then I tell them what I paid and watch their eyes roll back.
I have been told that the Cadet 22 conversion kit fits the CZ40P, although I have not tried it.

Re: cz pistols
The PO6 is the PO1 but in 40S&W. Yes it comes with a decocker.
Yes it works with the Cadet Conversion.
