New guy, want to intro myself

Just wanted to introduce myself here and show off my first firearm purchase. After doing extensive research and watching a lot of Hickok45 videos on YouTube, I came to the conclusion my first firearm would be a CZ. I didn't want to fall into the Glock spell just yet considering thats a very popular firearm. No I wanted something different and when Hickok45 made his review on the CZ, I knew that was gonna be the one I want.

Now the firearm I purchased was a CZ 75D Compact PCR chambered in 9. When I held it, I knew this was gonna be a keeper. This thing fits my hand like a glove! The best thing is I got a hard to believe deal almost on it too. I purchased through Lock's Philadelphia Gun Exchange and walked out the door with a brand new CZ for $250! I did however have to trade in my Beeman R9 air rifle towards the new gun but I'm not missing it at all. They gave me $250 for the Beeman so $500 for a new CZ, yea I'm a happy camper. Lock's service is amazing too. I couldn't of asked for a better first time experience and that was greatly due to Mark who was very informative and kind in every way. Awesome guy!

Enough chatter for now. I hope to learn a lot from the forums here and to meet some local CZ gun enthusiasts as well.

Welcome to the madness, Pete. Looks like a good choice. I don't have any personal experience with CZ's, other than handling a few in toy shops, but they seem like a good, solid handgun.

Very nice pistol indeed... You really did get a hell of a deal.. I just bought the Beretta PX4 compact in 9mm last Wednesday.. my first hand gun in 10 years, then the Ruger ACP 2 days later... I wish I got the same deal... Where is that place at?

You've definitely come to the right place to learn about anything firearm related (and sometimes things not). Poke around. I've learned a great deal. Thanks to all of the patient folks who share their knowledge.
Congrats on the nice gun. I don't have a CZ but a 75B in on my rather extensive wish-list. You got a good deal too.
