Re: SATURDAY MARCH 8TH @ Ready Aim Fire
Are you a member at RAF? The reason I ask is because I highly prefer Classic Pistol over RAF (plus I'm a member at CP, so it's free, plus 1/2 off for non-member), but I am definitely considering it.
I guess it's about time to stock up on ammo!Last edited by itstock; January 26th, 2008 at 05:37 PM.

Re: SATURDAY MARCH 8TH @ Ready Aim Fire
itstock, come on out to RAF---he's posted it all over the board already and people have commited to going---point is, i doubt he's gona change locations now. I've never been to RAF and i prefer target world (member) over CP but i'm coming out to RAF (i don't even know where RAF is) to play and meet new people.
Maybe next time you can have one at CP and i'll do one at target world. Best part about the whole thing is we get to meet a few new like minded friends.
Heck, maybe you'll have that sbr'd 9mm by then---if not, i'll bring mine and you can see how an oly 9 shoots.

Re: SATURDAY MARCH 8TH @ Ready Aim Fire
The reason I selected RAF is because the majority of the PM responses I got favored RAF as the best location. I like CP too...maybe the next one will be there. Hope to see you...

Re: SATURDAY MARCH 8TH @ Ready Aim Fire
If they are rifle caliber friendly, I'm in.
Guns4fun, the reason target world sucks (besides for their ignorant staff) is that they only allow handgun caliber compared to CP which allows anything and everything. I absolutely hate target world because of the residing attitude though!Last edited by itstock; January 26th, 2008 at 06:50 PM.

Re: SATURDAY MARCH 8TH @ Ready Aim Fire
That's fine, you can shoot where ever you like. For me, this get together is more about meeting new people than it is about which range we are at. If a particular range doesn't like what i have, i'll bring something else.
I have been a member of TW for some time now and never had an experiance like you discribe. Sure, upstairs they get some new people that tell a gunshop tale every once in a while but for the most part they are a good group. Everytime i walk into the range, they always say hey G4fun how are you and what are you shooting today. Then when i'm leaving, i usually bs with them for a while too.
I shot at CP once and thought it was kinda small. I didn't like that they made you pay for your carboard backers either. It is farther away for me than TW is too. Yes, they allow rifle calibers but to me, shooting rifles at 25yds in-doors is wasted money on ammo. I belong to another out-door club that has 50 and 100yd ranges for my rifle caliber stuff.
But as always, different strokes for different folks.
I hope you still decide to come out and play. I for one would like to put faces to screen names.

Re: SATURDAY MARCH 8TH @ Ready Aim Fire
Ok guys, I was at RAF today and spoke to Mark, here is what he told me, if we are willing to bump the shoot back a week to the 15th then he will be able to come in early like 8 am before normal business hours and get us all set up and we will have first pick of the range for the day, said we don't have to worry about the hour limit for the $20 fee either. He is very interested in hosting, the reason he suggested moving the shoot back a week is because the Valley Forge Gun Show is that weekend and they tend to be VERY busy that weekend (guys buy guns and then go to RAF to shoot them).
So what do you think??? I say we push it back a week, but if you guys want to stick to the 8th then I WILL BE THERE!!! Please PM me or EMAIL all response to sixtiesmedic@hotmail.com
Also, Mark told me that their bulk ammo prices are the lowest around and based on what he qouted me for handgun ammo he is right!!! So if 2 or 3 of you want to go in on a case of a 1000 rounds let me know, we would probably save money.
Thanks,
ConradMOLON LABE

Re: SATURDAY MARCH 8TH @ Ready Aim Fire
Allright, based on the responses I recieved in the forum and via email I have decided to push back the group shoot ti March. 15th. Mark and I spoke today, we are going to start at 8 am, and shoot for a few hours. Mark told me he will get out the machine guns, i'd like to try to purchase a few cases of ammo from him for the group so please PM me if your interested in that. As per Mark NO 223, and if you are shooting a .40 sw then bring your own ammo, apparently it is VERY hard to get a hold of right now due to the war and various police departments needing it. That was Marks suggestion.
So I look forward to seeing you all on the 15th at RAF @ 0800 hours!!! Call me or email me if you need directions.

Also we are going to try to schedule ANOTHER shoot in the early summer if this one goes well. Hope to see ALL of you there!MOLON LABE
