No - PSP cannot do the transfer. The only people that can do the transfer is an FFL or a county sheriff (good luck with finding a cooperative one)
    IANAL

It's probably too late to do you any good today, but there are other FFLs that will handle a transfer. You can look them up at the gunbroker.com web site.

This is why I love Vermont. If I want to sell you a handgun in Vermont, this is what happens:

    We haggle a price.

    You give me the money.

    I give you the gun.

I obtain a bill of sale even though the law does not require it, just to cover my arse if you use the gun in the commission of a crime

I am not even required to verify that you are of age if I have no reason to believe you are lying.

Didnt buy the gun the women said it was about 20 years old and it looked like it had never been cleaned in about 20 years. However Hit Or Miss Gun Shop
    (717) 896-8348 158C Hoffman Rd Halifax, PA. 17032 was willing to do the transfer for 5 bucks even though he was closed im pretty sure he runs his shop out of his basemnet or garage. Gander mountain wanted 45 bucks for the transfer. Guess who gets all my business
