Finally...ordered my 1st pistol

Just ordered my first pistol today. A Satin Nickel CZ83 in .380 acp. My wife loved a rental and I enjoyed it as well.

I always loved the reputation of CZs as my heritage is close to 90% Czech.

Planning on a 75bd next and I am sure a 97 will follow. A used 100 looks like a nice nightstand gun.

Although I am not a fan of plastic, from what I have read the ergonomics are superb and provide great POA. The trigger sounds sloppy but it is a polymer framed true DAO so I guess that its to be expected. Anyone have thoughts on them?

Excellent M&P type pistols. Reliable, easy to feed, reasonably priced. I think they are overlooked/under rated because they don't get the advertising that many other brands receive.

We wanted to buy a .22 LR rifle.

My wife asked a guy she works with who is big time into rifles and who is financially set so price is no concern, what would be the best .22 LR manufacturer to buy from.

He stated CZ!

Then we went to our local gun shop and I asked the salesman which .22 LR rifle would you buy if you could have just one and he pointed to the CZ 452 American Trainer .22 LR.

We bought it and have been thrilled with it.

So when you start to think you want a rifle - stick to your heritage there also!

You will not be disappointed in the least.

I recently picked up in trade a CZ 75B. I had been wanting one for about a year and kept buying other firearms but since I got it I could not be happier about it. I have only fired it once with about 200 rounds but I love it, it's smooth and accurate and not as heavy as I thought it would be. I have carried it once just to do it and it was easier than my Sig P229R to carry. I can also say as a 2x Beretta 92FS owner that I like the CZ better than that too; I guess I could go on and on with this but all in all I love the CZ75B and you will too it's a fantastic firearm, mine is an older '96 model and the finish is 99% perfect.

Great choice, I have a CZ82 and love it ! When your looking for your next CZ, keep an eye on this guy on gunbroker, he picks up a lot of surplus, some in fair condition for lower $, some in better shape. I've purchased a couple from him and have been very happy. Congratulations and enjoy !

The problem with Cz's is once you buy one it does not stop there I bought a used Cz 82 9x18 and now 2 and a half years later I have a CZ 83 32 acp for the wife, 2 Cz 75 9mms, a Cz 70 32 acp the cz 75 sa target flat trigger, Spo7 from the Cz custom shop and the Pro-tek another custom shop gun. Then i had a P)7 duty and the 75 Phantom . Now I just need a cz 97 BD and the new PO8 model.
We spent yesterday morning at Easton Fish and Game shooting them along with some SKS rifles that we just got. Now I am sitting here cleaning them between posts.

Are you sure it is a stainless? I didnt know that CZ made them in SS, i know they makes a beautiful 83 in Nickel, anyway congrats on a beautiful Pistol, very well made and points and balances very well.
