We can only hope that they never have a policy on firearms and that no other business does either.

Good thing you dont decide what is responsible or tacky.

To the OP, sounds like you did all you could at the time. Keep us posted on what you hear from the gm.

    You did well OP

I sent the manager an email informing him that I won't consider giving them my money or business.

Can you define what a "responsible image" is?
This is interesting....One of the first times I met up with some of the "responsible people" was while we were all waiting to renew our membership at Philadelphia Archery & Gun Club. Almost a hundred people were waiting in line during one of their special renewal times.
There was a wide mix of people, some "suiters" and some who you would never think would be responsible citizens. It gives me something to think about every time I ride the subway in Philly. You NEVER know who will be carrying when you are out and about.

Welcome to the forum as others stated you handed it well. Now on to the important question, what did you get in your Growler?

Big fan of victory, CC many times I think next time will be OC.

Great story and perfect response in a difficult situation. Your behavior proves that you're a responsible gun owner.

I think you offered up too much............in every response to the manager, YOU suggested an action to cover up, or leave.

He said he felt uncomfortable - tell him to take an aspirin and have a nice night next time!

Open carry laws are complex enough (and little known enough) to require multiple threads on these boards to gain an understanding. Why would we assume that these biz owners would understand any of it? Why even assume any have ever even considered open carry in their biz? I think the OP handled everything well, but maybe the owner should be given some time and information before everyone judges them as unfriendly to oc'ers. I imagine that immediate boycott emails would be threatening to a biz and may result in them making a hasty anti-gun policy instead of evaluating the facts. Just a thought.

OP, you did the best you could in the situation. I agree with some that I would not have offered 'solutions' to the muttonhead manager but oh well.

Just another business to add to the list of 'no business'
