    Default Handgun Recycling in Cleveland

"Handguns are tossed into a furnace at the ArcelorMittal Steel mill in Cleveland Thursday, October 20, 2011. The city of Cleveland and the steel maker recycled more than 700 guns, including those surrendered at a gun buy-back last month. (AP Photo/Mark Duncan)"

    Think of your fellow man
    Lend him a helping hand
Put a little love in your heart

    You see it's getting late
    Oh please don't hesitate
Put a little love in your heart

And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place
    For you and me
    You just wait and see

    Another day goes by
    And still the children cry
Put a little love in you heart
If you want the world to know
    We won't let hatred grow
Put a little love in your heart

You'd think with budgets being so tight that they would allow an FFL to strip the guns and sell off the non-serialized parts for a flat fee.

I don't know if the barrels and firing pins would have to be destroyed too.

They should toss the "repeat offenders" into the molten mass.

Or just auction the guns as-is to FFL holders so that they can go to a caring and loving home.

If they tossed in the first time offenders, there would BE no repeat offenders...

They should do a big sale and handle it like buying a firearm from the store. Do a background check and everything. Wouldn't that money make up for some lost tax revenue?
