Where to clay shoot?! Anything shotgun?!
Hello everyone, I don't know where I can go to shoot a shotgun. I have been to the one league open to the public but I think that was $15 each visit and it took a while with all the people. I'm hoping there is somewhere you can drive up to and shoot your own clay. I really appreciate any and all information you can give me.

I did some research and found starview, and Conewago gun and rod club but does anyone know how the "open to the public" days work? Prices or anything.

Re: Where to clay shoot?! Anything shotgun?!
Starview is open to the public for shooting a round on a squad only (no throwing your own) on Sundays from 9am till last squad out at 130pm.
You can come as a guest other days/times as long as you are with a member.
Hope this helps!

Re: Where to clay shoot?! Anything shotgun?!
Thank you! I did find that online but I didn't know how much it would be. Also, "on the squad" how does that work?

Re: Where to clay shoot?! Anything shotgun?!
When you arrive at Starview on a Sunday morning, go inside the clubhouse and there will be a "sign-up window". Simply tell the person at the desk this is your 1st time shooting there and they will help you out. They will take your 1st name and sign you up on a squad with several other people. Once your squad is ready to go, a trapper will take the squad to the first shooting station and away you go.
There is typically 9-10 shooting stations set up for the course. The course changes each week.
Some things to remember-
1-only 2 shells loaded in your gun at any time.
2-action is ALWAYS left open until in the shooting box and you are ready to shoot.
3- ask questions! There is always people on a squad willing to help out new shooters to the sport.
Hope to see you up there one Sunday soon. Cost is $11 for a round of 50 clays. Bring your own shells or buy at the club. They serve breakfast too!!!
