Default Carrying a KelTec sub 2000 in a bag, concealed. Legality?

Not saying i am going to do this, but I am wondering about the legality of this.

say you have this bag http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/...nger-2p926.htm

and wanted to carry it on your person, rifle folded in half, mag out of the gun, but in the bag. Now can the same be done in a car?

not saying I am going to do this on a daily basis, but it would be helpful to know the legality.

With an LTCF, I don't see that being an issue. No LTCF, I wouldn't try it.

I think it would be perfectly legal howeveri can definatly see a leo saying that mag is part of the gun and trying to get you for having a loaded rifle in a car. I have the carry bag from keltec with the mag pouches on the outside of the bag . I attached a shoulder strap to it and I'm good to go

Long guns do not require a LTCF to carry openly, concealed, or in a vehicle - except in Philly or during an emergency. However at NO time can a long gun be loaded in a vehicle, and any loaded magazines suitable for the guns present must be in a separate container.

OP providing that your are 21 with a LTCF, why not buy an AR pistol? That gives you the fire power you are seeking in a pistol form.

    You could, but why?

I have that bag and I usually have a full sized Glock and either a 340PD or LCP riding in it.

If you were to go the Glock pistol route, I suppose you could add a 30 round mag and you'd get the same capacity as a sub2000 plus you'd be able to arty the pistol loaded.

Of course, you can cut the rifle barrel down to 10 inches and get an SBR stamp. Then you can carry it loaded and chambered in car or on person with a LTCF.

Just remember to get the tax stamp FIRST!!!!

    This is what I do.....

From the dimensions of this bag, it looks like this is probably your only option.

I am 22, carry either a glock 21 with 2 reloads, or a 637 with 2 speed strips. I have a draco pistol if i want a rifle round in a pistol. The keltec is just pretty awesome IMO.

I want the ability to carry a rifle if need be
