do guns go on black friday sales?

So, I bought my first new gun in Feb. of this year(g19), I want to buy my second(psa rifle kit) but am wondering if its worth waiting 3 weeks to see if they go on sale like everything else in the world does.

Most of the "outdoor" stores have Black Friday sales. Dick's, Dunham's, Gander Mountain...


Most of the time though, the "big" sales are on specific firearms, so I don't know if you'll get a deal on whatever that is that you're looking to buy.

Twice, I've gone in and put a rifle on layaway at Dunham's, knowing full well that they would go on sale "cheap" on Black Friday.

Later in the day on Black Friday when it's not so crazy, go to Dunham's, have them adjust the price accordingly, and/or pay it off/take it with me, and go straight home. No fighting the crazies, no trying to pick what I want when the staff is too busy to help... nice and easy.

I actually buy most my firearms from a guy that has a small gun shop he runs out of his basement (Acri's) or at gun shows. Currently been looking at the XDm 5.25's, Acri's price out the door is beats any other gun shop in my area by at least $100. Only problem is Acri is not set up to get Kimbers

Our Dunhams closed down years ago. But may have to keep an eye out and try your method if I come across a deal I just can't pass up.

I'm looking at on-line purchases, and could easily buy at midnight. I work till 0130 just about everyday regardless.

what's a psa rifle kit??? gunshops have sales just like any other business but i doubt you're going to find a psa rifle kit on sale on black friday. sales at gunshops are usually on new/used guns, accessories or ammo. most gunshops sell complete firearms and a few will stock AR uppers or lowers but thats about it. when i see kits for sale it's usually on-line vendors that stock them.

See the post above yours. It's a complete rifle kit from palmetto state armory, the same company that had 49.99 lowers for fathers day.

PSA has frequent sales on lowers & stuff, so it's possible they might have a deal on kits.
Last year, Del-ton had 15% off all their rifle kits for the entire weekend after Thanksgiving, and 10% the year before.

Im a city kid. I actually LIKE the craziness of Black Friday (reminds me of home/childhood, kinda like the smell of fresh rain on cement sidewalks). Wife gives me the list, Im off first thing in the AM with maybe a kid in tow, happy as a lark
