Joined the ranks of OC

I just turned 21 a month ago and got my license to carry as soon as I could. I recently got ahold of a level 3 black hawk serpa holster and have been open carrying for the past week. Had two MWAG calls within four days while walking out to meet my girlfriend where she works. I was surrounded by three state troopers in the Hoss's parking lot across from the turnpike in Bedford. I was asked for some I.D but refused at first only to be told by the officer that I had to provide some I.D and that I'd be on my way alot faster if I showed them my I.D. I did and left without a problem. My second MWAG call was alot more interesting for me. A car stopped along side of the road I was walking and asked me for a ride. I said sure and it turned out to be an off duty LEO who decided to come and see what I was up to after they got the call that some crazy 6'5 guy in paratrooper boots had a gun lol. He told me that there was nothing wrong with just "strapping it to my side and going out". The funny thing was that somehow I knew he was a cop before he told me. I will say that OC has definitely made things more interesting and I now expect to see LEOs everytime I go out my door. If I have anymore encounters, I'll be sure to post them.

Sounds like you were walking each time. Unless you plan to be in a vehicle, just leave your id and ltcf at home. Now you can only give them your name. No temptation to "comply".

With this weather though the odds that you will be CC at some point (on purpose or not) increases so really think through the "no ltcf" idea.


If I am not driving, I am trying to remember to take my own advice.

IANAL However the last I knew the state of emergency was still in effect! So if it is still in effect I belive that you have to show you licence. IANAL

Pa is still under a Delcared State of Emergency. Possession of a Firearm requires a LTCF.

Like other rules they dont apply! (to the Police) IMO if the area you are living in, is not effected the the SOE should not effect you. However it does! Does anyone know why?
