    Default thompson drops out

    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2...4160024&page=1

It's curtains for the presidential campaign of former Sen. Fred Thompson, whose campaign failed to capitalize on early momentum and never won any presidential contests.

"Today I have withdrawn my candidacy for President of the United States," read a statement Thompson released Tuesday afternoon.

"I hope that my country and my party have benefited from our having made this effort. Jeri and I will always be grateful for the encouragement and friendship of so many wonderful people."

It failed because he's lazy. Good ideas and values, but man, is he lazy.

Just saw this on CNN. Didn't seem like he tried very hard.

Well poo I liked him I don't care for Romney, McCain, or Guiliani. I guess that leaves Paul, Hunter and Huckabee. I'm leanign more towards Paul.

    Ron Paul is the man!!!

In all seriousness, I'd really encourage you to visit the campaign website to learn more about his position on important issues.

A shame -- he was the only mainstream candidate that I could deal with.

Now if only Guiliani would drop out already I think Ron Paul would have a good chance here!

I know quite a bit about him. I have watched the videos on youtube. I really like his stance on taxes, guns and liberty. Chances are I'll vote for him in the primaries.
