Looking to get a new ar 15 :/
I like the M4 styling :
I have heard a lot of good things about Rock River Arms, but I am a total noob to ar 15's and I am guessing I want a lightweight as for this would be for home defense, range, and all around rifle.
I also know I want chrome lined as I am not going to try to become the worlds best shot or anything and from what I have read up on chrome lined it is what I am looking for, also I know I want the 5.56 chamber not the .223.
Can anyone help me find a good pre built or something to the effect?
ALSO, I have checked out and handled and the S&W Sport is not for me.
and to recap... I added pictures to help you understand

Best value on a complete rifle by far plus you get the Aimpoint ($350 value).
Not hating on RRA, but you can get better quality for the same or less money.
What is your budget?

One thing about AR's, you'll get plenty of opinions. I didn't research and I overpaid for my first AR. I impulse purchased a Bushmaster and as soon as I started reading up I regretted it. There is nothing wrong with the Bushy, but I could have got so much more for what I paid, if I did my homework first.
Next purchase was a Colt LE6920. I don't regret it. Some quality brands you may want to look into: Colt, Daniel Defense, LMT, BCM. A lot of people like Spikes as well.

Re: Looking to get a new ar 15 :/
I did read mostly all of that yesterday
The Palmetto State Armory has a lot of what was mentioned
Hammer-Forged, Machine Gun Steel barrel
Chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a 1/7 twist
M4A1 style profile is phosphate coated to mil-specs
Barrel is High Pressure tested, and Magnetic Particle inspected
Bolt carrier is parkerized outside, chrome lined inside
etc
But it is $1,000 and I do not know enough bout PSA, are they good? :/

If your new to AR's this might not be up your alley, but consider a del-ton kit. You can order a parts kit and they make your rifle components just for you. They have 101 options and you would have a great time assembling it and getting in some good quality time with your weapon. Give the site a look. There customer service is top notch as well. All you need is a lower to assemble everything on. There wait time can be pretty bad though. 5 weeks. I remember waiting for mine...
but heres a link to what you should look at. Its fun looking at all the options and getting a rifle exactly how you want

Buy once cry once! Buy a colt 6920 and be done with all your research period! It is THE benchmark to which all others are judged against. This topic is beat to death at least once a month, there should e a sticky that says "buy a colt 6920 if you shoot more then 200rnds a year" lol
