Cool way to carry magazine/ flashlight

I rigged up a neat little invention to carry my extra magazine or a flashlight on my belt. It's elastic strapping sewn into a loop, slipped over my belt. Vouila

That looks pretty handy. May I recommend carrying flipping your magazine over so that the bullets are facing down? That way the tip of your index finger can touch the top round when you grab the mag to reload.

Excellent point but it looks to me like he should actually just reverse the mag 180 deg so that he withdraws it toward the rear but maintain the "bullets up" orientation.

The ammo bullet end up makes sense. I have the rounds to the rear to conceal them from the front, an open shirt or jacket. But otherwise makes reloads easier.

Pretty handy dandy little device you got there. I have a mag holder on the outside of the holster I use for my carry piece.

Someone suggested a closed end over the cartridges. This is what I came up with.

I had to lengthen one loop and insert it into a second one on my belt to get a closed end magazine belt loop pouch. This pic is of a Hi-Power magazine with 13 rounds positioned with the bullet tips up and to the front for indexing with your finger. I left enough of the magazine protruding to grasp easily.
