Seeking some advice on a rifle stock
One of the things my Father left me when he died is a J.C. Higgins-model 103.181-22cal, Stamped Sears Roebuck & company-s-l-lr. It was in pretty rough shape but I spent some time trying to make it look like something. However the rifle does not and never did have a stock with it. Any ideas on how to get one for it or maybe make one?

Re: Seeking some advice on a rifle stock
Go to egunparts.com (Numrich Arms). They have a conversion listing for the JC Higgins part number and will tell you who actually made the gun and IIRC the model. You can then see if they (Numrich) have any for sale or go to the original maunfacturer to see if they still have them.
Just looked it up. Made by Marlin, model number was 101. Numrich shows their part number of 584320. So any after market stock that fits the Marlin 101 should fit your rifle.Last edited by Xringshooter; October 20th, 2011 at 06:35 PM.
