Re: Interesting Event Last Night
The only time I carry in a bar is when I'm stopping in to get a six pack and leaving.

Re: Interesting Event Last Night
Are you sure the idiot wasn't a cop? Not to bash cops, but when I hear about someone doing something stupid with a gun, 3/4 of the time, it's an off duty policeman, like the idiot who shot himself in the hand in Scranton. An off duty cop was in a grocery store, showing off his gun to a friend, and shot himself in the hand.

I'm not saying I agree with the character in the OP, but what happened most definitely could have been done safetly and reasonably... though it may not have been. I'm just saying.

Re: Interesting Event Last Night
IMHO It was done "safely". He wasn't flashing it for the whole bar to see. But as they say, there is a time and place for everything, and this just wasn't it. He was an older gentleman, so it is possible he was a retired LEO, being as alot of cops hang out in this bar.

In a public place? I dunno know about that. If you are at a buddies house and you trust him? Sure, I show my friends new guns all the time. But not sitting in a bar.
I just figure the more you play with it the better the chances of accidentally shooting the bartender... If it stays in the holster there is no chance of shooting anything or anyone.
Or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying?Last edited by rwb1500; October 20th, 2011 at 08:03 AM.
