870 stock opinions
hey all
I am looking for a new stock for my recently purchased 870 tactical. I love the normal synthetic stock that is on it right now, but it is just too long for me to shoulder quickly in my apartment.
I had a knoxx recoil reducing stock on a moss berg 500 I had before, but I am also considering the mesa leo adapter because it looks so freaking awesome.
Idk. Opinions? I think I am leaning towards having a pistol grip and adjustable stock though. brands, features, etc. are all up in the air though.
PLEASE LEAVE YOUR OPINIONS BELOW! i need some help
(btw, not looking to spend a ton of money on the stock right now though as I need to get a gun safe as well). ThanksThe Beauty of the 2nd Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

Re: 870 stock opinions
I have a Hogue synthetic stock on my 870P which gives a shorter LOP. It helps square your shoulders up to the gun more which helps reduce perceived recoil.

Re: 870 stock opinions
Try to find something with a shorter length of pull, or just have the factory stock cut to fit. I know they don't look "freaking awesome", but they serve the purpose. Don't "clunk" up a good shotgun with a bunch of crap it doesn't need. That is UNLESS you want to!

Take a look at the ATI Akita adjustable stock. It's adjustable in both length of pull and cheek weld height. More over, it does a pretty good job of dampening felt recoil. I installed it as a set (along with the pump to match) on my Mossberg 500 and am very happy with it.

Hogue 12" LOP stock. It's the way to go. Solid, short, comparatively inexpensive. The first time you smash the buttstock on the ground to clear a stuck shell you'll be glad you went with a solid stock.

Choate makes some nice stocks for the 870 with spacers between the stock and the recoil pad so you can adjust for the length of pull.

Re: 870 stock opinions
I am also looking for a stock on a NEF Pardner Pump (rem 870 nockoff).
I have also been looking at the Knoxx stocks (folder, addjustable, talon) and the shurshot.
Any experience with any of these?
