Long's Park (Lancaster) Rules: "No Firearms..."
I searched the forum but couldn't find anything.
Anyone know the deal with this? Is this a city-run park, private?Almost a LIB .... ertarian

thanks to the benevolence of Judge Henry Grimly Long and his daughter Catherine Long. Bequeathed to the City of Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1900,
Looks like it's owned by Lancaster City.

Looks like they have a standard No-Discharge Ordinance.

Under Section 210-2 Regulations
Discharge firearms, bows and arrows, air or spring rifles or slings.

Re: Long's Park (Lancaster) Rules: "No Firearms..."
The wording of the sign was odd. It said "No Firearms or Archery". It's odd to me because one refers to a thing, and the other refers to an activity. I guess one could reasonably interpret this as referring to the discharge of firearms. Otherwise, I assume it would be an illegal restriction.

I assume it's owned by the city since it is patrolled by Lancaster City PD. I got pulled over there once .

The way things are getting I wouldn't go to that park without a firearm especially in the restrooms. Fruits and pedophiles. hang in them.
I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six!
