    Default Just got my LTCF

Just got my permit on tuesday. I was surprised of how easy it really was. Got there about 10 o'clock and I was the only person in the sheriffs office. Filled out the app, handed the deputy my I.D., waited about 5 minutes, paid her, and got my permit. I think the hardest part was finding the sheriff's office lol

I assume that they took your photo also, as required?

Is that current practice? I've been led to believe that the new system/equipment does not allow for photos to be brought in, and requires the issuing agent to take the photos with the new equipment

If that is false, and photos taken elsewhere can still be accepted, that's a critical piece of information for some of the things I am working on.

It was my understanding that is why non residents have to apply in person.

i would say its current enough. the app clearly stated must bring a passport type photo. i didnt sign anything electronically. paper work, photo, proof of residency, 20 bucks and finger prints afterwards. i applied a month ago.

Geez I'm so sorry. Here we just apply on a 1 page app in the office, sign electronically, give a form of I.D. for them to run, get our picture take, pay the 20 bucks and there ya go. In and out in about 15 minutes. That's the way it should be.

When I got my LTCF, the Sheriff's office took the photo with their webcam connected to their computer system and I was able to sigh electronically. By the time I found the office, filled out the application, etc. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. There was 1 person ahead of me renewing his license.
