Honey, I'm going Shopping - Postal Match
OK, instead of going to the Mall, you hit the range. Let's make this easy for everyone . Here are the rules:
Let's do this for the first Postal Match.
1. 25 yards, Pistols
2. Iron Sights only
3. Let's have 2 groups
3.a From Bench or supported
3.b 2 hands standing
4. 10 shots fired for group size.
5. Postmark by Dec 24, 2007
6. This is a PA fourm right? so be from PA
7. Use any of the Targets posted in the thread "Free Downloadable Targets", or use one of your own
8. Any power is fine, but be prepared to receive crap if you shoot a .22
Check out the link for free printable targets
You can PM me for address to mail the Target, or I suppose you could Scan the target and email me (or post photo is a good idea)
I need to receive the target by Christmas Eve. Include Caliber, what you shot with and anything else interesting you can think of.
Prizes are listed below and will be awarded in order of finish.......

Re: Honey, I'm going Shopping - Postal Match
Sounds like Fun. I don't have access to 25 yd, only 50 foot. And my gun is "in the mail" on it's way to me. Maybe I'll be ready for round two. Then again, by Christmas I may get a decent grouping.
But hey, it's 2006, why mail it when you could post a digital image right here? Do you have a version of the target available online that we could print?
What thread?
Just a thought,
JD

Re: Honey, I'm going Shopping - Postal Match
I added some more info to answer some of the questions
Back from "Shopping"
Sad to say, when I got home and double checked, my entry for minor has only 9 holes,
The target I'm using for Major measures 4 3/4 " using a 44 magLast edited by pstew; November 24th, 2006 at 08:06 AM.

Re: Honey, I'm going Shopping - Postal Match
OK, Do you have any suggestions? I have access to an outdoor 100yd rifle range & pistol at 25 and 15 yards. Shivering will definitely add to the group size

Re: Honey, I'm going Shopping - Postal Match
Well, I guess we missed the Christmas deadline. I'm busy working up some reloads for a few pistols for IDPA practice. It might not be possible for me to do 25 yrds but I'll be out shooting once a week and willing to attempt sharing any target/results as I wringout my pistols as I attempt to begin this IDPA shooting.

ShaZZam!
Did you receive my targets! I won..I'm sure! What do I win!? Did you see my WMV? That was crazy...I never shoot that well.. When I watched the vid..myself..it looked like the boardwalk game where you shootout the red circle with your auto-bbgun..after the dude loads you up with the brass tuble full of bb ammo.
I'm pretty sure I cut that target in half even before I did the reload! Man! I must go in and try that again! Wish me luck....ZZzzzzz...
(Shhhh)(Ned's shoot'in good)(See his eyes twitch'in back n' forth!)

Re: Honey, I'm going Shopping - Postal Match
I didn't see any targets, It has been too cold to go shooting lately, so I'm concentrating on reloading. I going to try this Postal Match again sometime in March when it's warmer.
If anyone has suggestions for different types of matches, please feel free to post.
