Whatever happened to people minding their own business?
Or at least dealing with something that's bothering them directly.
I was at WalMart tonight, and noticed a guy walking by me constantly, no matter where I'd go in the store. Middle-aged, slightly graying, wearing a blue sweater. Not an employee there, didn't look to be a police officer (Based on the way he dressed/walked) so I just figured he was doing a similar circuit of the store as I was.
I met back up with my fiancee in the grocery side of the store a little bit later and as we're walking down the pop aisle, I'm a bit ahead of her, she comes up to me, face bright red, and says "That guy just said to pull your jacket down, your gun is exposed."
I turned around, expecting to see an employee behind me, and I just didn't hear him, as I was focused pretty intently on trying to remember what I was in the aisle for, and there was nobody there but the two guys who were at the end of the aisle chatting about some get together one of the families was having.
Apparently, the same guy who was following me all over had walked past us in the main aisle as we were turning in to that aisle, stuck his head back to watch me as I walked up the aisle, then tapped my fiancee on the shoulder to whisper to her that I'd better cover my gun, then ran away immediately. Like... ran.
I don't know what this guy's malfunction is, but I'm sure it has a name for it that's hard to pronounce and requires plenty of medication.
I'd be really nice if people would learn to either ignore things that they don't particularly like that other people are doing, or at the very least say something to the person doing it, not someone with them. Face your own issues, for fuck's sake.
People. Grah.
(For the record, no, I didn't cover it up. My shirt decided to ride up a bit, so I pulled it down behind the holster and straightened my jacket, that's about it. The shirt I had on tonight was a bit short on me, anyhow.)

Walmart is one place where I feel the need to carry more than most other places. I try to avoid that store all I can. It is nice that I can get crappy meat and produce, ammo, auto supplies and pet things all in one place... But, the people are scary!

Sounds like he was too afraid to approach a man with a gun, so he sent his thoughts via the lady without the gun. His opinion as to how you should carry your gun is worth as much as you paid for it.

Someone was being polite and telling you your cover garment was riding up...didn't call the cops, didn't call the manager. Not everyone is comfortable around guns.
For fucks sake people.

For someone who may not have known that walking around with an exposed weapon was perfectly legal and in some peoples minds nowmal, that may have very well been an understandable reaction.
Maybe you should have chased him down waving a open carry information pamphlet. That certainly would have made the situation better.
If you like attention, don't bitch when you get it.
