Camping X'ld so I built this.

All the parts arrived on Friday (except my dies). AAC upper/Armalite lower with a DD parts kit/VLTOR tube, buffer and club foot. I thought I was going to have to wait until next week before putting it together but it rained so hard the wife said let's go home early. She wasn't to keen on camping in the rain.

Not sure if I am going to run the Aimpoint or Eotech, and I might just get a NF 1-4X24 if I can gather extra funds.


And 2 Surefire 60 rounders as well.

where did you find the mags? i have been looking all over for them. they are "sold out" every where. i have a lonely POF AR that needs some...

HAHA! You should have left the mags out of the picture because they are going to get a lot of attention!

Honestly, aside from "OK, another nice black rifle", the next thing I said to myself was "WTF kind of MAGS are those?" LOL

I guess I'm out of the loop. 60 round mags? Noice!

I got them from Stoney Creek in Reading, I think that was the last two they had.

I was very pleased with both the fit and the finish of the lowers ( I bought 2). Going together was pretty straight forward. I always use Daniel Defense lower parts kits. I know they are more $$ and maybe the DPMS kits work I have just never had a fit problem with the DD kit.

I can't wait to put my SBR'd 300 300-blackout together (as I've said in other posts). The more I see them come together the more I want one.

every part of that build is SWEET! from what I have read the 60rd surefire mags do not run with the shorter OAL of 300BLK! But give them a try with some 220gr rem's and let me know! And for everyone who is not up on this rifle its a 300 blackout not just "another AR" lol its special

Where TF did you get those mags? I'm assuming you haven't had a chance to try them in Auto?
