Default LTCF Revocation due to Lost/Stolen (Procedure)

Ahhh Crap. Lost wallet With my LTCF

Do I apply like a renew process again or can they just reprint it

Edit: Found my wallet!!! Daughter hid it in the fireplace, luckily I found it.
I'm still going to proceed with following up on this with the Sheriff to get the procedure documentation.
    RTK request was mailed out

The end goal may be to change the way Lost/Stolen's are handled so people don't have to get revoked.

Contact your Sheriff; the law doesn't mention anything about lost/stolen LTCF's AT ALL.

They can print you another one. At least that's what they told me at the Montgomery county "gun permits" department.

Just went through this with Lancaster County. First, you need to have your D/L, so if you lost that too get it replaced first.

Next , go to the permits section and tell them what happened. Lancaster ran another PICS check on me right there, took a new picture, fave me the same renewal date but otherwise a different permit. Cost me 20 minutes and $6.50.

The reason I got a new permit was because the state has standardized the software and the permits are supposed to all look the same. Lancasters old style-the one I lost- was different from the new style, they can't print anything else.

That's for Lancaster county. Because a process for LTCF replacements due to loss/theft is not codified in the law, it's very likely this process will vary from county to county. It's even possible that asking for a replacement due to loss/theft could be used as a reason to deny a permit renewal next time around, although outside of Philly I would consider that extremely unlikely.

You might be screwed unless they changed something. I lost (stolen) mine about 10 years ago and the "wonderful" folks there in Media told me I had to start over. Fortunately for me, I moved to MontCo shortly after. My wallet had fallen out of my pocket after getting out of my car in front of my apartment building. Some piece of shit decided to take it, and most of the contents before leaving it at a trolley station right down the street. A decent person was kind enough to return what was left. Lesson learned; don't wear pants or shorts that are baggy and may not keep your stuff in after you sit down.

Here is a thread by "soberbyker" from a while back whose wife had to do this in Delco.

There is a procedure that all are supposed to follow. So it should not vary.

Can someone who has experience in FOIA/RTK requests, try to obtain this from the above pdf:
“LICENSE TO CARRY Quick Reference Guide to Create, Replace, Renew, Revoke and Reinstate Permits”.

If you note, this is a "Quick Reference Guide", so there probably is a larger full manual also.
