Mark III
So after shooting my friends MKIII, I realized a nice 22 gun can be fun to shoot. So I traded mines for a brand new MKIII. Was hitting two inch groups at 15 yards...Very happy with it

Re: Mark III
Just got one myself for a cheap shooter. Love it and its dead on accurate. I got some hogue thumbrest grips for mine as my hands are large and a red dot scope. Scope seems unnecessary after shooting it a few times. You might not love it so much when you take it apart though, its an involved procedure. There are videos online that help, but if something doesn't go right (like the bolt sticks or mainspring housing won't go in right, etc) go here:

Re: Mark III
The Ruger Mark III can be updated to shoot competition so they are very accurate. And mines is probably the most reliable 22lr gun that I have and this includes my rifle I have 4 22LR guns all fun to shoot but the Ruger stands out as the best in this group. It is a very easy to shoot, accurate and reliable 22LR pistol. IMHO

Re: Mark III
As long as you follow the disassemble and reassembly directions in the manual you won't have any trouble. After a few times of doing it you'll not have any problems. The Ruger Mark series of 22's are very accurate and can become even more if you want. The Volquartsen parts can really make this gun a tack driver. I used one for a long time when competing in the .22 open sight metallic silhouette course.
