Firearm accidents compilation
I came across this firearms accidents video, about half the clips I've seen other places, but there's a lot of new ones in it I haven't seen. It's shocking about half of these people haven't managed to take themselves out yet. How to properly shoulder a rifle or a shotgun really needs to be taught to the general non-firearm owning public somehow. Definitely not safe for work. There's a clip at around 5:00-5:15 that you probably want to skip over, a very young kid gets ahold of what looks like a browning hi-power and ND's into an adult's abdomen. It looks real to me, sent a shiver up my spine.

Re: Firearm accidents compilation
In summary:
1% ricochet
3% weapon malfuction
10% 'gangsta wannabe'-ing
17% unsafe handling
20% endangering the newbie by purposely putting too much gun in their hands
49% mismanagement of recoil (limp-wristing)
To simplify:
97% user error
4% excusable error
The video of the kid shooting his dad is supposedly real, reported by Syrian newspaper Aks Al Ser in October of 2008. I find it a useful reminder to never act recklessly, because my son is always watching.
You're right, a lot of those are repeats, but most of them deserve repeating for one reason or another. And at 8:10, like a champ.Last edited by legendarylorot; September 20th, 2011 at 05:24 PM.
