Hornady Critical Defense in 9mm for both the S&W SD9 and the Ruger LC9. Turns out a box is just enough to load each pistol's magazine and put 1 in the chamber.

3 FTFs, though, I'm going to have to keep an eye on that. Not something that's happened to me yet.

I shoot pretty much anything for practice (never know when you'll have to scrounge for ammo, I'd like to know before I need it if it shoots) and I've have only had 2 FTFs in the S&W, both were from winchester white box FMJs.

I'm surprised how popular critical defense is. It's performance in many barriers is sub par in a lot of the tests i've seen (it's not a bonded design), and it has very low energy compared to many of it's competitors in most calibers it's loaded in.

Having had the oppertunity to take part in ballistics tests ( real ) with various rounds I carry HST's .

Kimber Raptor still carry BT's that I have had for many years.

I used to carry Remington Golden Sabre I recently switched to Hornady Critical Defense 165 grain in my 40 S & W. I have found them to be very accurate.

I carry Magsafe swat in all my carry guns.
Found them to be very reliable and easy to shoot in the larger calibers.

Winchester 124g Ranger T +p+ for 9mm.
Buffalo Bore 158g +p for .38.
Federal 230g Hydroshock for .45.

I carry Winchester silvertips in my .38 and lead roundnose something or the other in my .32 H&R revolver. I very rarely carry the .32.
