    Default DELCO LTCF REFUNDS?

I was one of the many who paid $46 for my LTCF in early 2009. I know now they charge $20. I was just wondering if any of you guys or girls were issued a refund check from the Delco Sheriff's office. I know there is a thread on PA Sheriffs overcharging and I'm sure somewhere in the 81+ pages a Delco resident made mention. I tried the search box to no avail.

Pa Gun, have you gone to the sheriffs office and asked? I would not expect any refunds without asking of their policy. Thousands of people have been overcharged over the time period of their overpricing and I would suspect that there would be no refunds without litigation and a court order.

    Finance 101:

Opportunity Cost (Per the CFA Institute) - The value that investors forgo by choosing a particular course of action; the value of something in its best alternative use.

In your case, we are talking about the opportunity cost of your time. Which is more valuable to you?
    • The (probable) multiple hours of your time devoted to (improbably) receiving the refund when you would not be working, OR
    • $26

Basically, unless the value of your time is around $0/hr, I'd say you're better off moving on.

Unless of course doing things out of principle makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside

    ON the other hand,

Time to write letter requesting refund: 5 minutes
    First Class Postage: $ .44

Return on Investment - A Lot

Agreed. I was just trying to take into consideration the probability of receiving that ROI.

Back in 2009, the correct charge was 25.

But yes, I suggest you request a refund (probably will require a lawyer or court time).

I was overcharged my 1st time as well back in 2005. If you want to start the process to get refunded, that's two of us! Maybe more.

I believe IRONSIGHT requested a refund and got it.
