Sounds like Right Wing Tea Party extremist nonsense - NYC has been a Peoples Worker's Paradise since 1963.

Mayor Bloomberg "We just cannot continue to have these guns in the hands of kids who don't understand the value of human life,"
So the jackasses are the real problem, not the firearm. Nuff said here.

"Police said they were searching for 17-year-old Oneil DaSilva, of Mount Vernon, in connection with the shooting. His rap sheet includes nine arrests for attempted murder, third-degree assault and burglary".

And why was he still walking the streets?

He's begging for more federal gun laws. Didn't read the article, but I saw him say it on TV.

Thank God there's no guns there.
    N.Y. PEN. LAW § 125.25
"A person is guilty of murder in the second degree when: 2. Under circumstances evincing a depraved indifference to human life, he recklessly engages in conduct which creates a grave risk of death to another person, and thereby causes the death of another person"

That pretty much covers the felony of perjury in violating one's oath to uphold the United States constitution, including the Second Amendment, where failing to do so, in prohibiting those in NYC to bear firearms, made it highly probable that they would die to the criminal element that disarmament has fostered, doesn't it?

Maybe it's just involuntary manslaughter, but it certainly callous disregard for human life...a depraved heart...to disarm the New York City, New York, and American people inside that jurisdiction.

Oh so wait this has been a problem before?

Police sources believe the three shootings this morning are connected to the pre-dawn festivities leading up to today's West Indian Day parade. The traditional celebration, known as J'ouvert, has been the scene of numerous shootings in the past, although cops have had it under control in recent years.
FWIW in a few weeks we are having the German-American Steuben parade...I wonder if there will be any shootings the night before related to the parade...
