Venango County Class 3 question
Hello, I am considering buying a SBR (short barrel rifle) I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems getting your chief law enforcement officer to sign the form?

Re: Venango County Class 3 question
Someone told me that, besides the $200 tax stamp fee there are a bunch of hidden fees associated with getting a class 3 weapon. Can anyone confirm this?

Only problem you will have is trying to find someone to fingerprint you. PSP won't do it, Sherriffs office doesn't do it.

Re: Venango County Class 3 question
There was a posting somewhere that they would not do them for Florida permits. I would think that would cover everything else.

Re: Venango County Class 3 question
I will have no problem getting finger printed. But what this guy said is there are all kinds of hidden fees for things like background checks, etc and that when it's all said and done it is going to cost around $1000 on top of the actual weapon.

Ask him to be more specific , as I have never experienced that.

Re: Venango County Class 3 question
Eric will sign he is a hell of a good guy, he signed four form for me in the same number of weeks. As for the fees is it the guy selling it to you? Sounds like the old rope-a-dope to sucker more money out of you, its the price of item + tax(sales)+200 fed tax, then the depressing wait time.
