Default AR owners: how loose is the fit of your upper and lower?

My upper and lower have about 1/32" of radial play between them. Barely anything, but it's there.

How much play does your rifle have between the upper and lower?

Wow. Want so hard. Buying now.

Is this a common thing in ARs? Seems so, as I can't imagine the machine tolerances are perfect every time.

The slop won't hurt a thing, pretty common.

Or make your own from some random rubber/polyurethane scrap. The money you save will buy a box or two of Brown Bear.

How loose do you like it?

I used accuwedge for about six months a few years ago. I stopped using it for a good reason, and I can't for the life of me remember what it was. It worked great but either caused a problem or concerned me at some point.

i have 6 ar,s with everything from shake rattle and roll to my new lh stag model 3 that,s tighter than a tic on a dogs belly. the loose ones all got accu-wedges to take out the slop. the wedge does the job. remember all the important stuff is in the upper, sights barrel ect. shoulder up hold tight and the looseness won,t matter.

That's probably the one thing that keeps me from fully accepting an AR as a real rifle.

Drives me nuts that such a great firearm feels like a POS toy because of that "slop".
