Default Buddy of mines plan on buying a Citadel 1911?

Buddy of mines plan on buying a Citadel 1911? Whats the skinny on these 1911s?

It looks good seems to be competing with the RIs and other Philippians makers in the $399-$600 arena. Does anybody have any news or 1st hand experience with Citadel 1911s?

Yep, I have a compact, it was a little fussy about hollow points untill I ran a few hundred rounds of FMJ through it but I REALLY like the gun.

I have a full size 1911 and it shoots great. It's made for ball or round nose ammo and that's what it shoots best. I tried some SWC's in it and had some FTF's. Get one, while it's not a top of the line, it's good.

Everything I've read is that Citadels are Armscor (Rock Island) guns. Can't go wrong there for the money.

For the relatively low difference in price, I'd talk him into getting on an SR waiting list, or go with the PT, but that is just me.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Ive heard nothing but good. I don't own one, but have 2 RIA's which are the best bang for your buck and I hear Citadel is pretty much the same gun. Don't think you can go wrong.
